HotJaw Sealer Mouse over for member price Using a heat sealer to achieve a proper seal of one's storage bags is critical to the overall effort in storage. Most common heat sealers deliver a seal of approximately 2 mm (less than 1/10 of an inch). This 6-inch "constant heat" clam-type Hot Jaw unit makes a strong, clean 9/16" seal. The jaws are sufficient to close any type of heat sealable multi-layer structure. Any size of bag can be sealed using this heat sealer. The two jaws are made of opposing grooves which are coated with Teflon (like a pan) and when pressed together, will melt the inner layer of polyethylene and give you a solid 9/16" seal on any sealable bag or pouch.
